January 11,2012

We are off to another year with many exciting promises of what is in store for us and our horses! I look forward to working with all my current and new clients to make this year the best yet for their horse's overall health.
I am excited to say that I had a great first week of school and will be so glad to be able to offer this wonderful therapy to all my clients in the future.  I am sure I will keep everyone posted on how things go over the next ten months.
Also happy to say that I am now a member of the GDCTA and look forward to the opportunities that await me (and my Gracie!) from being a member with them.  To start helping the association I have donated two massage sessions to their annual awards gala next month.
Along that line I am also in contact with a rescue organization and some therapeutic riding organizations to volunteer my services to the horses in their programs.  For me giving back to rescue horses and the therapy horses is very important as they greatly deserve the love and attention.

Very exciting news from Centerline Massage! I will be starting human massage school at AHSA School of Massage based in Atlanta next year.  This is an intense ten month program that will allow me to sit for my state licensing exam.  Then I will be able to offer all my clients massage for them as well as their horses.  But I am also excited to be able to apply what I learn in school to my horse patients as well.  It looks like 2012 will be a great new start for Centerline Massage!
I am also looking forward to having a blog here on my website as well.  I will try to update weekly with goings-on here at Centerline, travels I am making, and educational articles for owners as well.
And let us not forget that the holidays are here so do not forget about gift certificates for your horsey friends!
Just contact me at my email or phone to find out more.  :)

I am very excited to announce that Centerline Equine Massage is now a proud sponsor of Alex Green Eventing!  Alex and her two current mounts have been great clients of mine since 2010.  I always look forward to visiting Dry Ridge Farm and seeing her two boys Cuba and Rugby.  Since Alex is a very dedicated event rider and works hard to compete and care for her horses, I only felt it was the next step to offer to be a sponsor for her and all her horses.  I look forward to helping Alex and her entire team work towards their goals in the coming years!
You can find out more about Alex and all her competing adventures at either www.alexgreeneventing.blogspot.com or www.alexgreeneventing.weebly.com.

It is a new year for all of us and our horses.  Hopefully the 2010 year ended with all your goal met and a happy healthy horse!
And here at Centerline Massage I am also working on the new year's goals and getting ready for the show season that lies ahead.  For not only myself and my mare, but also for all of you my clients and your horses.
This year has already brought one major change for me as I have relocated to the greater Atlanta area.  I was offered a job as a radiation oncology technician at Georgia Veterinary Specialists and it was too good an opportunity to pass up.
But never fear I still intend to continue to see all my wonderful clients in Tennessee and start to build my practice here in Atlanta.
I will be making monthly trips home to TN and will be willing to schedule appointments for the entire weekend that I am in town.  So please contact me to see when I will be in the area next!
And if you are from the Atlanta area I will be seeing clients most weekends and a few evenings each week.  So feel free to contact me about having me out to your barn!

Was out of town from the 7th-9th for a great seminar down in Camden, SC.  It was hosted by the Jake Meagher Institute and taught by Mike Scott and Robert Altman.  The focus was on sports therapy and the Meagher technigues of pre-event massage for the athlete horse.  I took away a great amount of knowledge and cannot wait to help my clients at shows from here on out!!

Stayed tuned for a write up of the weekend and the major points that we discussed.

Spring is now upon us so we are all able to get out and be with our equine friends. For many of us this past winter meant little to no riding. So our horses, and us as riders, are going back to work and getting back into shape! So to help your horse get back into work I am happy to offer a 25% discount off the first massage session for a new client! And also so my current clients are not left out, you get the same offer for referring a friend!

Also I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has become a fan on our Facebook page! Centerline Massage has 150 fans now! Way to go!
